Concourse de Elegance

I attended the Castrol extreme custom motor show with a friend of mine this past weekend and it was a great experience. The best of all is that the 1300"s dominated the show at the price giving. Louis Swannepoel of Despatch was invited with his two customised 1300's, "Obsession" and "Bad Co" and took 2^nd and 1^st prices respectively for the best customised motorcycle class. "Bad Co" also drove away with the best customised viehcle of the show. Those of you who know him will agree that he deserved it, seeing that he always won the first price at all the rallies he entered. He only got two 2^nd prices, one at this show, and another which he lost to one of the 1300's he cutomised for a friend of him. Well done Louis for keeping the 1300's at the top of the rankings. "Born to be free", build by Sybrand Potgieter now owned by Corrie van der Merwe of the Strand, Cape Town, took 14 months to complete and 87grand later. It has already made it ’ ’s mark at the concourse competitions. 1^st in the custom class at the 2006 Motorcycle expo at Kuilsriver, 1^st in the custom class at the Shark rally at Tulbach and 2^nd in the custom class at the 2006 Buff.
